Essential Reading for OD Practitioners

As an Organisation Development expert, you may be interested in a brilliant new book called A Field Guide for Organisation Development edited by Ed Griffin, Mike Alsop, Martin Saville and Grahame Smith.

The book offers a contemporary, practical guide to Organisation Development that reflects the field as its editors and contributors experience it, in all its complexity and subtlety.

This is now my favourite book on OD.  It covers what you need to know about OD, but from the perspective of practitioners who live and breathe it.  This book gives a surprisingly fresh perspective on the challenges of applying the theory and delivering OD practice ‘out there’ in the place it really matters: Organisations.

There’s no sugar coating and pretending OD is without its challenges and for anyone working in the field its great to read a book that makes you feel inspired to get out there and make a difference.  Well written, easy to navigate and quite frankly the best book I’ve ever read on OD.
